Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element):
Ability to do the work of an Lock and Dam Equipment Mechanic Supervisor without more than normal supervision; operating, inspecting, dissembling, and troubleshooting lock and dam equipment and machinery. Investigates work related problems such as excessive costs or low productivity and determines causes and implements corrective actions within assigned authority to resolve work problems.- Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating. MISSION ESSENTIAL STATUS:
Individual Districts may determine this position to be Mission Essential based on site-specific conditions. A designation of Mission Essential will be communicated by management to the incumbent(s) if applicable. If designated as Mission Essential, incumbents are not subject to administrative dismissal in emergencies created by inclement weather conditions or other emergency situations as appropriate. A Mission Essential employee is required to report for, or remain at, work in emergency situations, and dismissal or closure announcements do not apply to him/her unless his/her supervisor instructs otherwise.
