To qualify at the GS-11 grade level, you must have:
A. Specialized
Experience:
One year of specialized experience which includes reviewing contractor proposals, submittals, plans and specifications, modifications, and cost estimates for construction projects; providing project planning for field engineering construction projects; preparing schedules and budget estimates; and performing quality assurance/compliance review on contractor performance, contractor submittals, and all phases of the construction process. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). B. Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this grade level, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. To qualify at the GS-12 grade level, you must have:
A. Specialized
Experience:
One year of specialized experience which includes reviewing AND negotiating contractor proposals, submittals, plans and specifications, modifications, and cost estimates for construction projects; providing project planning for complex field engineering construction projects (such as renovated/new buildings, tank ranges, airfields, roads, railroads, utility systems, water distribution, sewers, mechanical and electrical systems, electrical distribution systems, navigation projects, local flood control protection projects); preparing schedules and budget estimates, AND tracking and reporting progress against schedules and estimates; and performing quality assurance/compliance review on contractor performance, contractor submittals, and all phases of the construction process. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). B.
