To qualify at the GS-11 grade level, you must have:
A. Specialized
Experience:
One year of specialized experience which includes reviewing contractor proposals, submittals, plans and specifications, modifications, and cost estimates for construction projects; providing project planning for field engineering construction projects; preparing schedules and budget estimates; and performing quality assurance/compliance review on contractor performance, contractor submittals, and all phases of the construction process. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). B. Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this grade level, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. To qualify at the GS-12 grade level, you must have:
A. Specialized
Experience:
One year of specialized experience which includes reviewing AND negotiating contractor proposals, submittals, plans and specifications, modifications, and cost estimates for construction projects; providing project planning for complex field engineering construction projects (such as renovated/new buildings, tank ranges, airfields, roads, railroads, utility systems, water distribution, sewers, mechanical and electrical systems, electrical distribution systems, navigation projects, local flood control protection projects); preparing schedules and budget estimates, AND tracking and reporting progress against schedules and estimates; and performing quality assurance/compliance review on contractor performance, contractor submittals, and all phases of the construction process. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). B. Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this grade level, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
